Reflection & Expansion for CFX

By Ron Procopio, originally posted on Technologies for Worship Magazine

The past two years for all of us have flown by in a whirlwind of craziness. Shifting, adjusting, and readjusting has been our norm. CFX for me has been a constant. Working day and night, shifting and adjusting as well.

This past September finally saw CFX come to life with an in-person event. More than 1,000 people visited, connected, and learned in Dallas. We, as the organizers, were thrilled with the results. Hearing such positive feedback, like:

“I was able to see how much growth there is for me at CFX. As a camera operator and editor, the possibilities are endless, but coming here I was able to see how much room there is for growth for me as a person.”

“Keep up the great work–thanks for having it this year!”

“Would you bring a team member or members in the future to learn and network together? ‘Absolute necessity’”

“Whatever you do, do it again. It was a great first start. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

These comments were very needed for our team which gave every ounce of energy to help those who serve their churches. I couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication. The positive comments refill the tank and inspire us to do more.

But, we know that there are areas to improve. The feedback from our attendees, exhibitors and presenters is very much appreciated. I personally write up my thoughts at the end of each event and re-read them every month to make sure I’m making the changes and adjustments from our lessons learned.

So, what can you expect at CFX 2022? More of everything! The education (which is available at cfxconnections.com) was rated very high–4 out of 5 stars on our attendee survey! In 2022, you’ll see new opportunities for training with getting your hands on the equipment. We’re looking to add higher level training as well.

You’ll find more exhibitors to meet on the expo floor. We knew that COVID had impacted many of the potential exhibitors, so we are very fortunate and honored to have had the 125 companies participate this year. We are having great conversations with many manufacturers and service providers of production and facilities technologies and equipment who want to connect with those who serve their churches. This part is for certain; the need to reconnect is very strong.

Lastly, you can expect the experience to be even more immersive and more personal with better connections to your peers. We have ambitious goals, but we’re excited for what we’ll be able to create to help you in your church’s facilities, services, and growth.
