Color: LEDs and the Human Eye
A lighting designer is responsible for creating Illumination, Mood, and Focus with their lighting designs. The qualities of light used by a designer are Intensity, Color, and Movement. In order to make the most of 4 out of 6 of these elements, especially when using LED lights, a designer needs to understand both the biology of the eye and the physics of color.
Join us to learn how your eye works to see color and light. Then learn how an understanding of the physics of color can enhance your designs.
Takeaways from this session include:
- Understand how humans perceive color
- Understand how to evaluate a light source
- Understand the difference between CRI and TM-30
- How to use spectrum graphs to choose color filters
