Women have contributed much to the ministry of the Church throughout its history. However, their role in this area has never been free from controversy. According to research, women make up two-thirds of the church and only one-tenth of the leadership. The representation of women in church leadership enriches leaders and helps members on multiple levels. Join Natolie Warren, ministry leader and psychotherapist, and Eric Byrd, worship pastor, college instructor and leadership consultant, in a unique conversation about the challenges, opportunities and paradigm shifts necessary for women to create space to be leaders, and the impact this has on the Church.

What you’ll gain from this session:

  • Explore the paradigm shifts of women in ministry over the last 50 years, the overall challenges and how it has impacted the Church
  • Gain a greater awareness of women in leadership from both a woman’s and a man’s perspective
  • Understand the effects of allowing women to excel in church leadership positions on the mental health and wellbeing of all church members, including other church leadership
  • Identify ways to support and increase the visibility and impact of women ministry leaders
