Behavior Threat Detection Program
Taught by Michael Mann
How does your church manage the risk of an attack while trying to keep the congregation safe, while also ensuring visitors and non-congregants feel welcome? Effective security is about prevention, and the security strategy for a church should not conflict with the mission: to spread the good news of the gospel.
In this masterclass, your safety ministry will be provided with the ability to detect potential attack related behavior early by working through the psychology of predatory violence from a biblical perspective. This session will also provide security strategies that include violence prevention through observation, maintaining a security presence without being overbearing, identifying potential warning signs, and the use of positive engagement to validate threats. Instructional methods for this masterclass will include instructor-led lecture, discussion through the use of case studies, and tabletop exercises.
