Leadership Collective: Facility

Facilities

CFX Leadership Collectives are a new CFX experience to help you walk home with a custom strategy plan created specifically for your needs. Prior to the conference, you’ll be asked to fill out a survey to help us better understand your needs and goals. When you arrive at CFX, you’ll have three 90-minute sessions to work with your peers and other church leader coaches to collaborate and find solutions to your problems. You’ll be assigned a table with other church leaders with similar roles; this group of people is now your Collective, and we encourage you to stay connected during and after the event.

Our expert coaches will give you best practices and advice on how to solve various issues, and then you’ll have time to work together with your Collective and your coaches to create your unique action plan to implement in your church. After the event, we’ll provide some follow-up touchpoints with your coaches for added support and encouragement.

You will walk away encouraged and emboldened to handle the challenges you’re facing today and to know that you’re not alone in your journey.

The Facilities Leadership Collective aims to cultivate a collaborative environment for the exchange and discussion of best practices and strategies for effective facilities stewardship. This collective brings together individuals serving in various church facilities roles, such as Facilities Manager/Director/Supervisor, Operations Director, Executive Pastor, Business Administrator, and Facilities Support Staff. Our primary objective is fostering mutual learning and equipping you with practical strategies to elevate your facility stewardship practices, ensuring the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of your church facilities.

Throughout our sessions, attendees will focus on a variety of facility-related topics, exploring them through the lens of stewardship. These topics include:

  • Planning for the Future – Facilities Budgeting: We’ll discuss effective strategies for developing budgets that align with the long-term goals and needs of the church facilities, considering factors such as maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Addressing a Scarcity Mindset: Explore ways to overcome limited resources and adopt a mindset that focuses on maximizing the potential of existing facilities, optimizing space usage, and creatively finding solutions within constraints.
  • Building and Space Utilization: Delve into innovative approaches to optimize the utilization of church buildings and spaces, including ideas for multifunctional spaces, creative design solutions, and fostering a sense of community within the facility.
  • Safety and Security – Protecting our Community, Preserving our Mission: We’ll discuss the intricate balance between ensuring church safety and security while steadfastly upholding our mission as custodians of God’s blessings.
